Finding Her Spark Again: An In-Home Styling Session with Kelley
Sometimes, you don’t need a whole new wardrobe. You just need a fresh perspective on the one you already have.
Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Kelley during an in-home styling session. As a mom, she’s spent a lot of time showing up for others, and she was ready to reconnect with a part of herself that she loves: fashion.
Kelley already had a great sense of personal style and plenty of pieces in her closet that she loved. The challenge wasn’t finding her style. It was figuring out how to bring everything together in a way that felt effortless, intentional, and true to her.
And that’s where the fun began!
Shopping Your Own Closet
One of my favorite things about in-home styling is discovering the potential in pieces you already own. Before running out to buy something new, I love exploring what’s hanging in your closet, tucked away in drawers, or sitting on a shelf waiting for its moment.
With Kelley, we experimented with different combinations, played with layers, and looked at familiar pieces in new ways. We focused on creating outfits that felt like her, while giving her more options for getting dressed without overthinking every decision.
Together, we put together about seven outfits for different parts of her life, including:
Casual everyday looks for running errands or meeting up with friends.
Going-out outfits for when she wants to feel a little more dressed up.
Coffee shop looks for those simple moments when she wants to grab a coffee, take a walk, and feel good doing it.
Because personal style shouldn't be reserved for special occasions. Sometimes, feeling like yourself again starts with an outfit you love on an ordinary Tuesday.
It's Not About Changing Your Style. It's About Reconnecting With It.
What I loved about working with Kelley was that she didn't need someone to tell her who to be or what to wear. She already knew what she liked. She just needed a little help connecting the dots.
That's something I believe deeply about personal styling. It's not about following every trend, buying an entirely new wardrobe, or squeezing yourself into someone else's idea of what looks good.
It's about understanding what you already love, learning how to make your pieces work together, and feeling confident enough to wear them.
For moms especially, it's easy for personal style to take a back seat. Life gets busy, routines change, and getting dressed can become one more thing on an already long to-do list. But you deserve to feel good in your clothes, too.
You don't have to wait for a special occasion, a different season of life, or an entirely different version of yourself to enjoy getting dressed.
Your Closet Has More Potential Than You Think
Kelley's session was a reminder that sometimes the best wardrobe refresh doesn't involve shopping at all. It starts with taking a closer look at what you already have.
A few thoughtful combinations can open up so many possibilities, helping you get more wear out of your clothes while making getting dressed feel easier and more exciting.
And the best part? You leave with outfit ideas you can actually use in your everyday life.
That's the goal behind Tirz B Curates: helping you build a wardrobe that reflects who you are, supports how you live, and gives you the freedom to express yourself through clothing.
Because your style is still there. Sometimes, it just needs a little room to shine.
